Kroger Co. was the leading supermarket in the United States with sales of over $105 billion in 2017 and a total of 2,782 locations across the U.S.
Whether or not the company that sells us so much of our food has a self interest in defining and setting consumer trends is debatable. That said, Kroger’s team of product developers, chefs, and innovators have published a report predicting the hottest food trends for 2019.
Nutrition and wellness are behind four of the five top trends identified. Here’s their top 5 list:
